Deciding upon a location/Environment

Deciding on a relevant environment is quite important because when it comes to making the game, everything has to be concise and fits in the chosen era. So I am going to jott down several ideas that I think could work and be interesting, I am then going to narrow down the options and decide on a final environment that works best.

      Environments to work from.
  • Industrial
  • Winter
  • Summer
  • Countryside/Valleys
  • Mountains
  • Spring
  • Desert
  • Forest
  • Desolate
  • Urban
  • Lakes
      Landmarks that could be used.
  • Farms
  • Villages
  • Castles
  • Industrial (Factories, Mines, Powerplants)
  • Docks
  • Cities
  • Bridges
  • Viaducts
  • Quarries
  • Caves/Coves
  • Sea
  • Statues
  • Beach
  • Fields
  • Rivers
  • Streams
  • Waterfalls
  • Roads
  • Cliffs
  • Volcano's
      Weather conditions
  • Rain
  • Sun
  • Snow
  • Thunder Storms
  • Dust Storms
  • Clear Skies
  • Stormy Skies
  • Polluted Skies
  • Rainbows
  • Mist/Fog

Using some of the ideas above, i'm going to combine them together and hopefully come up with an interesting outcome. I have a brief idea on what I want it to look like but i'm using this method to help generate more ideas. Once i've listed what I want in my environment, I can go ahead and start sketching out some concepts.
